Suzanne Perot McGee
Suzanne Perot McGee was elected to the Vanderbilt Board of Trust in 2019. She received her B.S. degree from Vanderbilt in 1986.
Mrs. McGee is a Dallas based fundraiser, volunteer and philanthropist. She is married to Patrick K. McGee (A&S ’85) and mother of four, two sons and two daughters. Mrs. McGee, along with her siblings, is one of the founding donors to The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, which is named in honor of her parents, Margot and Ross Perot. She has served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas. She was previously a member the Board of Directors of the Episcopal School of Dallas and is a past co-chair of the school’s $75 million dollar Comprehensive Campaign. Mrs. McGee is a passionate supporter of the North Texas Food Bank, public radio and her alma mater Vanderbilt University. In addition, Mrs. McGee supports numerous institutions in Dallas and beyond with a focus on education, women’s health and the arts. She is a Director of Petrus Management, which oversees the Perot Companies’ business activities, and the Perot Foundation. Mr. and Mrs. McGee were the 2015 Destiny Award recipients for Leadership as honored by the St. Phillips School and Community Center of Dallas, Texas.
At Vanderbilt, Mrs. McGee is a member of the Parents Leadership Committee and has hosted several dinners and events for Vanderbilt donors, parents and students, including Dallas Summer Send Off Parties in both 2012 and 2015. She also served as Weekend Chair of her 25th Vanderbilt Reunion. Mrs. McGee and her family have established two need-based scholarships: The Priscilla Call Craven Scholars and The Margot and Ross Perot Scholars. Mr. and Mrs. McGee also support Vanderbilt Athletics, the School of Engineering, Peabody College, and the Vanderbilt Medical Center.
