Upgrading OAK to Blackboard Learn 9 Rescheduled for July 24-25. The upgrade will cause OAK to be out of service from July 24 2PM until July 26 8AM.
We will be upgrading to Blackboard Learn 9.1 Course Delivery on July 24, 2010. We anticipate a 2-day outage window beginning at 2PM on Saturday, July 24, with OAK being back up no later than 8:00 AM on July 26. Though we do not anticipate the upgrade taking this long, we would like to emphasize that faculty and students should refrain from using OAK until a notice is posted on the OAK website at www.vanderbilt.edu/oak.
Unfortunately, there is not a time in the current academic calendar when classes are not in session. The outage was moved to this unusual time to accommodate weekend classes that will be in session that Saturday and to have the system back up by Monday morning for summer classes.
In the coming days, the “Training” portion of the OAK website will be expanded to contain video and PDF tutorials to provide immediate training for this upgrade. Face-to-face sessions will also be scheduled. Please visit the OAK website often for news about these tutorials.
