SEEKING RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS: PEACES Study Team Recruiting Autistic Undergraduates for Experience Study

Posted by on Saturday, November 29, 2025 in Academics and HE Professionals, CAN News, Partner News, research and development, Research Participants, Self-Advocates and Civil Stakeholders.

What is the study?

On behalf of the Postsecondary Education: Autistic Collegians’ Experience of Success (PEACES) study team, we encourage our partners to spread the word about this research study that honors the holistic lived experiences of autistic college students.

One goal of this study is to create a publicly accessible national database that provides information and resources on autistic students’ experiences and on how postsecondary education institutions can support them.

Over the last 3 years, nearly 1,300 students from more than 150 institutions have participated in the PEACES Project. This year is PEACES’ final wave of the study, and they hope to reach as many eligible students as possible with this final push.

Please share study information with autistic students in your networks or with individuals who are directly connected with them.

Eligibility

Must be:

  • Students enrolled in an undergraduate program at a U.S. college or university
  • Identify as autistic (formally or self-diagnosed).

Study participation is voluntary. Students will first complete a quick screening tool to determine their eligibility. Here is the link: http://bit.ly/4mo4eij.

Compensation

Upon successful completion of the survey, eligible participants will receive a $25 online gift card.

Gift cards will be processed following completion of the current wave of data collection; distribution of gift cards may take a few months thereafter.

Participants will also be asked about their interest in participating in an interview and photo elicitation activity, which would entail receiving an additional $75 gift card if selected.
