New VandyRide BNA Express Shuttle Service for Spring Break Travel

Students may now secure their shuttle reservation through the TMO app, which is integrated with Commodore Cash. Shuttles will operate March 6 and 7 to support Spring Break departures.

Vanderbilt’s Division of Administration, Student Affairs, and Vanderbilt Student Government are teaming up to offer VandyRide shuttle services to Nashville International Airport (BNA) to support student Spring Break travel. Shuttles will run Friday, March 6, and Saturday, March 7, providing a convenient transportation option for students flying to their Spring Break destination.

Pictured: On a black background, a shuttle and airplane icon is under the words "VandyRide BNA Express"“The BNA VandyRide shuttle is a great example of what’s possible when we collaborate with student leaders,” said Sean Carroll, senior director for communications and marketing for the Division of Administration.

“Working with Vanderbilt Student Government, we found an opportunity to leverage existing resources and secure the necessary permits to deliver an accessible and cost-effective transportation option to help students get to the airport safely and efficiently. This model gives us room to grow, scale, and apply this service to other peak travel times throughout the year,” he said.

Students can now reserve their spot on the Transact Mobile Ordering app, the same platform used for VandyCart.

A collaborative effort

This initiative was developed in collaboration with the Division of Administration leadership team, Student Affairs, Transportation Services, Card Services and Vanderbilt Student Government, with the goal of supporting student travel during peak periods. We encourage students to plan ahead and reserve their preferred time slot early, as space is limited.

Vanderbilt’s public transit benefit also provides full-and part-time students, faculty, staff and postdocs with free access to WeGo Public Transit local buses and regional buses, the WeGo Star commuter rail train, and WeGo Access paratransit services with their Vanderbilt-registered QuickTicket app or card. This service is available not just for commuting to and from campus.

Safe travels, Commodores!
