Email: michael.r.fisher@Vanderbilt.Edu

Cohort: 2013

Michael R. Fisher, Jr. is a PhD student in Ethics and Society who is interested in the intersection of religion, ethics, and politics in America. He deeply cares about the political activism of black churches, seeking to investigate the ways in which the black religious experience simultaneously informs the identity politics and political identity of African-American Christians. He draws on his knowledge as a community organizer, activist, ordained clergyman, and public policy advocate to examine how Christian ethics, politics and public theology inform the moral witness and agency of African Americans.
