Professional Schools:      October 12 – October 30 (Closed on October 16)
Old cards will expire on November 2

Be sure to turn in your old card to avoid paying a lost card fee of $20.

Faculty and University Central staff will be scheduled after the first of the year and will be required to have a new photo taken. Re-carding of Medical Center Staff will be coordinated by the Medical Center Card Office subsequent to the re-carding of University Central.

"The Commodore Card has not been re-designed in 12 years," said Frank Gladu, assistant vice chancellor for business services. "In addition to the updated design, the new cards take advantage of current technology, which provides greater security."

Commodore Cards function as both, an ID and access card as well as a debit card that can be used to purchase food and other items from on and off-campus merchants.

The new design allows for enhanced security by using a unique, randomly assigned encoding scheme.

Current card reading systems will be able to read both the old and new cards and no impact on card reader functionality is anticipated.
