J. Hicks Lanier

A trustee since 1997, J. Hicks Lanier, a graduate of Vanderbilt University, received his M.B.A. from Harvard in 1964. He is chairman and CEO of the Atlanta-based apparel marketer Oxford Industries, Incorporated.

He is a director of SunTrust Banks, Inc., Crawford & Company, and Genuine Parts Company. He is a former director of Piedmont Medical Center, the American Apparel Manufacturers Association, and former director of Shaw Industries. He is a former trustee of the Westminster Schools of Atlanta and the Henrietta Egleston Hospital for Children.

He and his wife, Jane, have three children, Jay, Liza, and Stephen.
