Orrin H. Ingram
Orrin H. Ingram is President and Chief Executive Officer
of Ingram Industries Inc., a Nashville based privately held company with
four operating divisions: Ingram Book Group, Ingram Marine Group, Lightning
Source Inc. and Ingram Digital Group. He is also Chairman of Ingram Barge
Company.
Mr. Ingram received his B.A. from Vanderbilt University in 1982. He immediately
began his career in the family business and has held numerous positions
over the years. He became President and CEO of Ingram Industries Inc.
in 1999.
He serves on three corporate boards of directors. He is a member of the
boards of Ingram Micro Inc., The Krystal Company and FirstBank.
Mr. Ingram is the Chairman of the Board of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer
Center, Chairman of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Board, and
he is a member of the Vanderbilt University Board of Trust.
Mr. Ingram has for many years been active as a volunteer in a number
of other local and national organizations. He is on the Executive Committee
for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and serves as the Chamber’s
Vice Chair for Education. He also serves on the boards of Alignment Nashville,
Boys & Girls Clubs of Middle Tennessee, the Nashville Alliance for
Public Education, the United States Chamber of Commerce, the U.S. Sportsmen’s
Alliance, and the Wetlands America Trust Board for Ducks Unlimited. He
is a member of the executive board and the immediate past Chairman of
United Way of Metropolitan Nashville.
Mr. Ingram is an avid sports enthusiast. He is past Chairman of the United
States Polo Association and the current Chairman of the Polo Training
Foundation.
