Lee M. Bass Lee M. Bass was elected to the Vanderbilt Board of Trust in 2009. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1979 from Yale University and his master’s of business administration in 1982 from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Bass is a Fort Worth, Texas, businessman who is President and CEO of LMBI, which engages in oil and gas exploration, cattle ranching, securities and investment portfolios, venture capital and real estate. He served 12 years on the Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission, six of them as chairman, and currently serves as chairman emeritus. He is a founding director of the International Rhino Foundation. Mr. Bass is chairman of the board of the Peregrine Fund and former chairman of the board of the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum. The Basses are the parents of Perry (VU 2010), Sophie and Ramona. |
