Joining Together to Dismantle Racism and Oppression

Come join Lift Every Voice lecture series to discover how strengthening Race Relations can empower Nashville. Thursday, March 27th

6:00- 7:00 PM Young Adult Panel Area high school and
college students form a panel to discuss race relations

7:00-9:00 PM A Town Hall Meeting Based upon focus group information put together for this purpose, a noted moderator will facilitate Community participation with a panel representing several service areas. These include the Metro Human Relations Commission, the Metro police, justice & prison systems, the Metro Housing Authority, health centers and the media. Joining them on the panel will be citizens who use these services.

Racism–Cost to theWorkplace
Representatives from leading Nashville area companies such as Gaylord Entertainment, and public and private agencies form a panel to discuss the goals of diversity, share achievements and best practices and talk about challenges to achieving inclusiveness, and the resulting costs to businesses.

White Privilege: Strategies for Moving Towards Change. Dr. McIntosh is the Associate Director of Wellesley College Center for Research on Women, Wellesley, MA.
