This has been an unusual and challenging year, and as the semester comes to a close, we wanted to provide an opportunity for the Peabody community to come together and reflect upon recent events, as well as events over this last year. The conversation in this informal, drop-in space will be facilitated by the always fabulous Dr. Nicole Joseph. We hope you will join us for the discussion and dialogue.

Film Screening and Talkback with Filmmakers

Join the Divinity School in collaboration with Vanderbilt University Department of Communication Studies, Peabody College of Education and Human Development, the UCLA Rose Bowl Bruin Alumni Network, and the the Asian Pacific American UCLA Alumni Network for a talkback of the documentary, Far East Deep South. 

Far East Deep South explores the seldom-told history of Chinese immigrants living in the American South during the late 1800s to mid-1900s through the eyes of Charles Chiu and his family as they travel from California to Mississippi to find answers about his father, K.C. Lou. Watch the trailer here.
