Peabody Pick’em March Madness Bracket Competition

The Peabody Office of Student Engagement and Well-Being and Peabody Career Services would love for you to sign up to compete with members of the Peabody community by filling out your own NCAA men’s and/or women’s basketball tournament bracket! By filling out this registration form, you will receive another email with the information to sign-up to fill out your bracket and compete! The participants with the most accurate men’s and women’s brackets will each win prizes in recognition of their fantastic predictive abilities!

Need a few tips and tricks? A March Madness Masterclass will be held on Wednesday, March 17 from 12:00 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Zoom link.

The deadline to fill out the interest form is Wednesday, March 17 at 5:00 p.m.

The deadline to submit men’s brackets is Friday, March 19 at 11:00 a.m. Women’s brackets are due Sunday, March 21 at 11:00 a.m.

Featuring Professor Deborah Rowe, Carolyn M. Evertson Chair in Teacher Education and chair of the Department of Teaching and Learning, in conversation with Zarabeth Davis, fourth year doctoral student studying language, literacy, and culture.

What’s Your Why provides a space to learn more about our campus leaders as individuals and as academics who were once students too—who have hopes, expectations, and challenges and have learned important lessons along the way that impact their work and how they lead.

Lead, follow, walk side-by-side (masked and socially distanced of course) with one of the OSEW staff and other Peabody community members on a stroll through campus, on a nearby greenway, or through a local neighborhood. Random Acts of Kindness Day Part II

Stop by and pick up a goodie bag (while supplies last) from the Office of Student Engagement and Well-Being as our way of showing kindness to you so that you might show kindness to others. In honor of spring, we will have seed packets and mini pots, mini notecards to write a note of appreciation to someone, sweets to share, and more. We hope to see you there!

Loan Repayment Workshop

Please join us for this webinar as we will identify important things students should know upon graduation such as knowing their loan portfolio, identifying their servicers and understanding the cost of their student loan. It will also outline information on deferment and forbearance options. The session will also help you understand the basics behind student loan repayment and provide tips on managing student loans and finances.

Common Grounds: Peabody Coffee Pairing Program

Common Grounds Coffee Pairing Program provides the Peabody community with the opportunity to connect in March through two random pairings. Last semester, over 80 students, staff, and faculty participated and built new relationships across campus.

How it works:

1) Sign-Up Here by Monday, March 15 by 11:59 p.m.

2) Receive a random partner on March 16 and March 30

3) Reach out to your partner and plan a convenient time to connect over coffee or tea via zoom or in-person with a socially distanced meeting

Have an upcoming two weeks that are really busy? Cancel at anytime and join back when you can!
