Beginner Python and R Lessons

The Digital Scholarship and Communications (DiSC) office is offering two cycles of online beginner Python and R lessons this semester starting Feb. 3. The lessons consist of a series of short videos with practice exercises that can be done on your own at your own pace, or as part of a group of learners meeting weekly via Zoom.

Virtual Iris Book Club

During Iris Book Club, students, staff & faculty will engage in rich dialogue about the learnings and takeaways from each book. Participants will also have the opportunity to hear about the other books read by students to spark potential reading opportunities.

Even if you did not sign up for the Book Club or have not had a chance to read the book(s), we welcome you to participate in the discussion and learn more through our conversations.

Join us for a discussion forum on understanding how various organizations in Nashville and Tennessee are involved in developing education policy for both the state and the city. Local and state education leaders will discuss how the various governing bodies operate, how they collaborate with each other, and how they influence policy.

Peabody Virtual Town Hall

This virtual town hall is designed for all students at Peabody as a space to ask questions, share feedback, and discuss what we have learned from the fall semester. The first half of the event (7:15–8 p.m.) will be hosted by the Peabody Associate Deans and Dean’s Office staff. The second half of the event (8–8:45 p.m.) will be a student-only space hosted by the Peabody Professional and Graduate Association (PPGSA).
