Kito K. Huggins

Kito Huggins received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt in 1996 after which he earned a J.D in 1999 from Vanderbilt Law School.
Mr. Huggins is director of executive administration at Weil, Gotshal and Manges LLP in New York City. In this role, he spearheads the firm’s global alumni program, career exploration and transition assistance for associates and alumni. Mr. Huggins speaks at conferences sponsored by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, National Association of Law Placement, Society for Human Resource Management, and law student association career fairs, including the National Diversity Pre-law Conference and Law Fair. He began his legal career as a litigation associate in the New York office of Shearman & Sterling LLP, and was a former federal law clerk to The Honorable U.W. Clemon, retired Chief Justice of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
As a student at Vanderbilt, Mr. Huggins was Student Body President, a member of the Honor Council, sang with the Voices of Praise, participated in the LGBTQIA, and was a member of the Black Law Students Association. As an alumnus, he is a member of the Chancellor’s ‘Dores of Distinction, the Association of Vanderbilt Black Alumni (AVBA), served as a regional contact for the AVBA, as promotions chair for the 2014 Law School reunion, as a 2016 Giving Day Ambassador, and as the 1996 class party chair for the 2016 Undergraduate Reunion. Mr. Huggins’ gifts to Vanderbilt have supported Voices of Praise, the Black Law Students Association, Peabody College and the Law School.
Mr. Huggins resides in New York City.
