Professor Michael A. Lapré is an internationally known expert on organizational learning curves. He is primarily interested in empirical research on improving organizational performance.  Lapré is an associate editor for Management Science (MS) and a senior editor for Production and Operations Management (POM). Professor Lapré joined the Owen faculty in 2001, after spending four years on the faculty at Boston University, where he was a recipient of the Broderick Prize for Excellence in Research.

Professor Lapré will provide a lecture on operations models for process improvement in healthcare delivery.Discover how operations science from the business world can be used within healthcare to improve processes and increase reliability/safety, with the specific example of the Toyota Production System.
