Overview:
Kálmán Varga's main research area is computational simulation of nanoscale materials including electron transport calculations, electronic structure calculations and time-dependent density functional theory simulations of interaction of electromagnetic field and matter. He also works on large scale variational calculations using explicitly correlated Gaussians. This approach, called stochastic variational method gives very accurate binding energies of few (N=2-10) particle systems in condensed matter physics.Selected Publications:
