extended to Sunday, January 21, at 11:59 PM<\/h2>\n<p>The Vanderbilt Writing Studio invites you to submit your work to be considered for inclusion in the 16th annual <strong>Undergraduate Writing Symposium<\/strong> on April 5, 2024, and the 3rd annual <strong>Undergraduate Creative Writing Symposium and Arts Showcase<\/strong> on April 10, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>We are seeking submissions in three different categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/writing\/uws\/submissions\/#UWSFYsubmissions\"><strong>First-Year Essays:<\/strong> Call for Submissions and Submission Symposium<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In Spring 2024, the\u00a0<strong>Undergraduate Writing Symposium<\/strong>\u00a0(UWS) will once again feature the exceptional work of first-year authors as well as the research writing of more advanced undergraduate authors.\u00a0This event will take place\u00a0<strong>Friday, April 5<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>First-year students:<\/strong>\u00a0To be considered for inclusion, please submit essays composed during the Fall 2023 semester.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/writing\/uws\/submissions\/#UWSFYsubmissions\"><strong>First-Year Essays:<\/strong>\u00a0Call for Submissions, Submissions Guidelines, and Submission Form Link<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sophomores, juniors, and seniors:<\/strong>\u00a0To be considered for inclusion, submit a project abstract of an advanced research project (honors, independent study, Immersion, and more), which may still be in progress in spring 2024 or completed during the 2023 calendar year.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a Creative Writing Symposium<\/strong>\u00a0will celebrate the creative works of undergraduate students as one half of the 3rd annual joint Undergraduate Creative Writing Symposium and Arts Showcase on\u00a0<strong>Wednesday<\/strong><b>, April 10.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>All current undergraduates (first-years through seniors):<\/strong>\u00a0To be considered for inclusion, submit pieces of creative writing completed during the 2023 calendar year (spring, summer, and fall).
