Her research focuses on fourteenth century Italian Literature with particular emphasis on Boccaccio, Petrarch, and Dante. Her recent book project, <i>Boccaccio\u2019s Florence: Politics and People in his Life and Work<\/i> (Toronto: University of Toronto Press, June 2022) explores the financial, political, and social turbulence of Florence during this period, as well as the major players in literary and political circles, to understand the complex ways they emerge in Boccaccio&#8217;s writing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"04xlpa\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">Join the Writing Studio and our host Dean Moore as we share a meal, talk about the challenges and rewards of getting words on a page, and get to know Dr. Elsa Filosa. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"04xlpa\" style=\"margin-bottom: 0in\"><b><span style=\"font-size: 12.0pt;font-family: 'Times New Roman',serif\">*Space is limited.
