Undergrads, submit your best writing to the Undergraduate Writing Symposium!
The Vanderbilt Writing Studio invites you to submit your work to the 12th annual Undergraduate Writing Symposium.
If you wish to be among Vanderbilt’s best undergraduate writers, consider submitting to the 12th annual Undergraduate Symposium. Participation in the Symposium is highly selective and papers are chosen by way of a blind review process. Those who are selected will be invited to present their work at the Symposium on March 27, 2020. In preparation for the event, presenters will have the opportunity to work with Writing Studio consultants to revise their projects.
We welcome argumentative essays, research reports, creative pieces (fiction, poetry, etc.) and other writing projects, including multimodal compositions, for this year’s symposium. Submissions must have been completed during the 2019 calendar year.
The self-nomination and submission deadline is Friday, January 17, 2020.

Once you submit your work, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your submission. Notification of acceptance to participate in the event will be sent out in late February.
