Southeastern HERC

The  Southeastern Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, headquartered at Vanderbilt University, was established in 2014 as the Greater Tennessee HERC, a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Since that time, it has grown to include membership across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama.  Our member employers embrace diversity and advance a workplace culture of inclusion.

The Southeastern Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, HERC, is a venture to help diverse, talented candidates find a higher ed career in Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama. The Southeastern HERC’s core values are excellence and diversity in the higher education workforce.
