The Southeastern Higher Education Recruitment Consortium, headquartered at Vanderbilt University, was established in 2014 as the Greater Tennessee HERC, a collaborative response of colleges and universities in Tennessee to the many challenges of academic recruitment and retention. Since that time, it has grown to include membership across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, and Alabama. Our member employers embrace diversity and advance a workplace culture of inclusion.

2020
The 2020 Inclusion & Diversity Summit was hosted at Vanderbilt University's Divinity School. Through The Summit we had the opportunity to bring together a wonderful group of colleagues, thought leaders, and members of the higher education community so committed to creating more inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible spaces, programs, and initiatives across our region, its institutions of higher learning, and beyond.
