Yasmine Mukahal is a Diversity Recruitment and Outreach Manager for our People & Engagement Team. She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a dual degree in Liberal Studies and Applied Leadership. She came to Vanderbilt in April 2018 after a dozen years working in recruitment for Gaylord Opryland, Dell, and HCA. Throughout her career, Yasmine has consistently built relationships with diverse stakeholder groups at all levels and inspired excellence in delivering results and achieving goals. She is a leader who has brought forth new ideas and innovations and shepherded a culture of engagement and collaboration.

Beyond her work at the University, Yasmine has been and remains highly engaged in the greater Nashville community as a servant leader – and serves as an example to colleagues, leaders, and her staff on this front every single day. She volunteers with local non-profits such as the Faith & Culture Center, YWCA, JDRF, STARS, Youth Villages, Friends of Children's Hospital, Islamic Center of Nashville, TIRRC, MTSHRM, and Millions of Conversations, and tnAchieves. Her service in the community has led her to be nominated for the Nashville Business Journal's Women of Influence and the Nashville Business Journal's 40 under 40.

In her spare time, you can find Yasmine with her daughter Zeina traveling to see some amazing sights around the world!
