Optimization of Radiofrequency Tissue Ablation with Computer Models

Radiofrequency ablation is a technique that passes electric current through the tissue target generating thermal energy and subsequently causing cell-death. The ability to estimate the best deployment of ablation zones to cover a large tumor is very difficult.  With each ablation, the nature of the tissue environment changes.  In this project, computer models are used for optimal planning for the delivery of RFA.
