Overview

Janell joined Vanderbilt in 1996 and has since made significant contributions across various roles within the university. As the Program Manager for the Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (VINSE), she is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing the NSF-REU summer program, coordinating the bi-annual newsletter, handling VINSE's social media presence, and serving as the financial unit manager. With extensive experience in budget management, strategic planning, and leadership, Janell brings a wealth of knowledge to her position. She has previously served as Senior Grants Manager for the Electrical and Computer Engineering department, managing a $21 million research portfolio and assisting faculty with complex funding requirements. Outside of work, Janell enjoys road trips with her husband and their spoiled dog, Coco.
