Chemistry, Assistant or Associate Professor, Analytical Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry at Vanderbilt University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or tenured Associate Professor level for Fall 2017. We seek candidates who will establish an externally funded and internationally recognized research program in the area of analytical chemistry. Particular research emphasis in the areas of mass spectrometry, electrochemistry, spectroscopy, or microfluidics is desirable. It is expected that the candidate will be able to participate in one or more of Vanderbilt's trans-institutional initiatives (e.g. Vanderbilt Institute of Chemical Biology or Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering), all of which provide additional core infrastructure that facilitate interdisciplinary and collaborative research and education. The successful candidate will teach in the undergraduate and graduate programs in the Department of Chemistry. A Ph.D. in chemistry or a closely related discipline, with a distinguished academic record, is required. Screening of the applications will begin October 15, 2016.
