VINSE at Family Weekend

The Vanderbilt Institute of Nanoscale Science and Engineering (VINSE) joined Vanderbilt’s Family Weekend again this year with a booth in the Engineering and Science Building lobby. The display, led by VINSE Cleanroom Manager Ben Schmidt, highlighted the tools and processes used in micro- and nanoscale fabrication. Visitors learned how researchers create the tiny structures that power technologies ranging from electronics to medical devices. In addition to hands-on demonstrations, the booth provided information about VINSE programs for students, including NanoDay, Tech Crew, and NanoGuides, as well as outreach and training opportunities available to the wider community.
