Participants compete in teams of 4-6 students. Each team must have at least three (3) different Vanderbilt or Meharry schools/colleges represented. Global health is an interdisciplinary field and draws its strength from a diversity of perspectives. Successful teams include undergraduate, graduate, and professional students from multiple backgrounds who each provide necessary insight to the issue. Medical knowledge is helpful but not necessary.

Students can register as

  • a full team (4-6 students),
  • a partial team (2-3 students)
  • an individual

Partial teams and individuals will be placed on interdisciplinary teams and notified of their teammates the week before the Reveal.

Registration is now closed.

Competing in and Winning the Competition

Teams will be divided into four 'tracks' on competition day. One winner will be selected from each track to compete in the final round. All participants should be present for the entire duration of the competition (9 AM - 2 PM). The top three winning teams will receive a prize.

The overall winning team attended the  2020 International Global Health Case Competition, held at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia on March 13-14, 2020.
