The paper, titled &#8220;Utilizing Agent-Based Modeling to Evaluate Operational Impacts of an Incident and Possible Alternatives on U.S. Waterways&#8221; is based on a study for the United States Coast Guard where agent-based modeling was utilized to evaluate the impacts of a disruptive incident and alternative responses\/actions on the inland waterway system.<\/p>\n<p>The VECTOR team also presented the project at the Transportation Research Board&#8217;s annual meeting in January.
