CIFTS and VECTOR in UTC spotlight
Dr. Mal Baird’s recent research project took a detailed look at the phases of emergency management and at the different perspectives of key stakeholder groups. The results of that research reinforced and clarified the need for more effective communication and interaction among the stakeholder groups that share responsibilities for freight transportation safety and security.
As a follow-on to this research, CIFTS hosted hands-on training for emergency responders along with CN rail equipment and the TransCAER train in June 2010.
