Matias Massaro

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

My goal is to provide a safe and welcoming environment to build genuine partnerships with patients while working together to determine and address therapeutic objectives. I appreciate and find inspiration in the uniqueness of each patient and aim to honor my patients’ authenticity. I provide evidence-based care and develop treatment plans that will address their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.

Matias began his career in mental health in Argentina, where he earned his degree in clinical psychology. He was involved in teaching neurophysiology, conducting research, and various clinical internships where he was fortunate to work in collaborative support networks with individuals from ethnically and racially diverse backgrounds, as well as individuals across the sexual orientation and gender identity spectrums. Afterward, Matias received his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a psychiatry specialization from Vanderbilt University, where he was recognized with the Outstanding Student award. Currently, he is enrolled in the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at Vanderbilt University. During his free time, Matias enjoys spending time with his wife and friends. He loves reading, playing videogames and instruments, cooking, and reading some more.
