{"id":2107,"date":"2025-05-29T14:15:59","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T19:15:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/tutoring\/?p=2107"},"modified":"2025-05-29T14:15:59","modified_gmt":"2025-05-29T19:15:59","slug":"update-tutoring-services-and-writing-studio-transition-to-single-shared-wconline-scheduling-site","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/tutoring\/2025\/05\/29\/update-tutoring-services-and-writing-studio-transition-to-single-shared-wconline-scheduling-site\/","title":{"rendered":"Update: Tutoring Services and Writing Studio transition to single, shared WCOnline scheduling site"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As announced in late April, Tutoring Services and the Writing Studio\u2014two academic support programs run by the same office\u2014are transitioning this summer to a single, combined WCOnline appointment scheduling site shared by both programs.<\/p>\n<p>For Tutoring Services clients, today\u2014Thursday, May 29\u2014is the day we have taken our biggest steps toward both programs sharing one WCOnline site, ensuring we are ready for the start of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/tutoring\/summer\/\">Tutoring Services summer STEM tutoring<\/a> to begin next week on Tuesday, June 3.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The good news is what isn\u2019t changing:<\/strong> Booking appointments with either <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/tutoring\/\">Tutoring Services<\/a> or the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/writing\/\">Writing Studio<\/a>\u2014both open this summer!\u2014will remain as simple and easy as ever. Just follow the \u201cSchedule an Appointment\u201d links from each program\u2019s respective homepage.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What changes can returning Tutoring Services clients expect?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting today, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanderbilt.edu\/tutoring\/\">Tutoring Services homepage<\/a>\u2019s \u201cSchedule an Appointment\u201d links have been updated to redirect to the VUnetID and password sign-in page for our newly consolidated WCOnline site.<\/li>\n<li>Likewise, starting today, when accessing our newly consolidated WCOnline site for the first time, returning <strong>Tutoring Services clients<\/strong> will need to create a new user profile. (Those with existing\u00a0Writing Studio\u00a0user profiles will simply be prompted to update their profiles.)<\/li>\n<li>A\u00a0<strong>new \u201cWelcome and schedule navigation\u201d landing page: <\/strong>Starting today, after signing into our WCOnline site with VUnetID and password, clients will be brought to a new landing page from which they can navigate to either the current Tutoring Services or Writing Studio or schedule via the displayed links.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Next System Email: <\/strong>Starting tomorrow (Friday, May 30), system emails from the new consolidated WCOnline site will come from \u201cVU Writing Studio and Tutoring Services.\u201d The \u201creply to\u201d address for such emails will change to <a href=\"mailto:wsts.admin@vanderbilt.edu\">wsts.admin@vanderbilt.edu<\/a>.\n<ul>\n<li>Each program can still be most directly reached by emails to their respective inboxes:\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"mailto:tutoring@vanderbilt.edu\">tutoring@vanderbilt.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"mailto:writing.studio@vanderbilt.edu\">writing.studio@vanderbilt.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Updated system forms: <\/strong>Returning clients may notice updates to several essential forms within WCOnline in order to accommodate the needs of both programs.
