Zone 13: Enhanced Vandyville & Parking Impacts

As part of the recently announced upgrades to the Vanderbilt Football game day experience, expanded Vandyville and new enhancements around FirstBank Stadium will create more opportunities for Commodore fans to come together.

To support the enhanced Vandyville experience, a designated portion of Zone 13 will temporarily close on the Thursday before each home football game. The closure is limited to the space needed to support Vandyville, allowing the remaining Zone 13 spaces to continue serving permit holders.

Parking and Commuter Services is working closely with Vanderbilt Athletics to coordinate these temporary closures and help maintain predictable parking options for employees who regularly use Zone 13.

What Zone 13 permit holders need to know

A designated portion of Zone 13 will close at 8 p.m. on the Thursday before each home football game and remain unavailable through noon on Sunday.

To minimize the impact on regular Zone 13 parking, this will be a partial closure. Zone 13 permit holders may continue to park in the remaining available spaces. Once those spaces reach capacity, permit holders should park in Zone 12 at the 25th Avenue Garage.

Parking and Commuter Services will communicate directly with Zone 13 permit holders and send a reminder on the Monday before each home game.

2026 home football games

Partial Zone 13 closures will occur before each of the following games:

  • Saturday, Sept. 5 — Austin Peay
  • Saturday, Sept. 12 – Delaware
  • Saturday, Sept. 19 — NC State
  • Saturday, Oct. 10 — Ole Miss
  • Saturday, Oct. 17 — Arkansas
  • Saturday, Nov. 14 — Alabama
  • Saturday, Nov. 28 — Tennessee

The designated portion of Zone 13 will close at 8 p.m. on the Thursday before each home game.

Plan ahead

If you regularly park in Zone 13, plan for the partial closure and allow additional time in case you need to park in Zone 12 (the 25th Avenue Garage).

Remember, once you’ve parked, the recently enhanced VandyRide shuttle service can help you get where you’re going. All Vanderbilt faculty, staff and students have access to VandyRide for convenient help getting from their parked vehicles to their campus destination.

New traffic patterns

As always, home football games also will include adjustments to traffic patterns and road closures. Vanderbilt Athletics will share details for each game on the Football Game Day Information webpage.

We appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we work to support an enhanced home football experience while minimizing parking impacts.
