Parking Open Enrollment now open for 2026–27 academic year

Parking Open Enrollment is now open for the 2026-27 academic year and will close on Monday, June 15.

As part of Vanderbilt’s new approach to campus parking, Vanderbilt faculty, staff and postdoctoral scholars who plan to purchase an annual parking permit for 2026-27 must complete Parking Open Enrollment.

What you need to do

For daily permits:

If you currently use daily parking and plan to continue doing so, we recommend confirming your selection during Parking Open Enrollment. However, no action is required as daily parking enrollment is unchanged.

Action required for annual permits:

To participate in Parking Open Enrollment:

  • Access the form using the button above or paste vu.edu/parkingopenenrollment into your browser.
  • Select your desired permit type (annual or daily).
  • Select and rank preferred parking zones (annual permits only).
  • Submit preferences by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 15.

Know before you enroll

  • Annual permits are recommended for those who park on campus 15 or more times per month. Daily permits are best for occasional use.
  • Daily permit holders will continue to park in designated daily parking zones across campus without being restricted to a single zone. The current daily parking enrollment process remains active.
  • Ranking the same annual parking zone multiple times as a preference will not increase your chances of being assigned to it.
  • Annual permit assignments are based on preferences, availability and factors such as years of service, similar to the Vanderbilt benefits model.
  • Submission timing during Open Enrollment does not impact assignments, though early submission is encouraged in case questions arise.
  • If you do not participate in Open Enrollment but still want to purchase an annual permit, you will be assigned a parking zone based on remaining availability.

What’s next: Faculty, staff and postdoctoral scholar annual parking

  • Open Enrollment closes: June 15
  • Annual permit zone assignments shared: July 6
  • Purchase period: July 6 through July 30

Don’t wait

Parking Open Enrollment is the only opportunity to submit your preferences for the 2026-27 academic year. However, you may update your preferences at any time throughout this period; only your final submission will be considered.
