Delando Crooks joined the student services staff in 2022 and serves as the assistant student services coordinator. In addition, he serves on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee and is a member of N4A.

Prior to working at Vanderbilt, Delando was an administrative coordinator with the Black Student-Athlete Summit at The University of Texas at Austin for three years while attaining his Ph.D. in Education, Leadership, and Policy. His primary responsibilities were managing and coordinating Summit content and logistics for athletic administrators and student-athletes.

Delando earned his undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from Vanderbilt’s College of Arts and Sciences while being a football team member. He then earned a graduate degree in Learning, Diversity, & Urban Study at Vanderbilt Peabody College.

An immigrant from Kingston, Jamaica, Delando grew up in Atlanta, GA. He likes to spend time with his family and dogs PJ and Prancer.
