Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?
I chose to attend Vanderbilt University because it gave me the ability to receive a good degree while playing in the best conference in college football.
What are your career goals?
My career goals are to someday play in the NFL and be able to support lower-income communities through non-profit organizations.
What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
It takes hard work and dedication to be successful academically at Vanderbilt. You have to manage your time correctly and prioritize your academic work that needs to be done each day.
How do you manage your demanding schedule?
I manage my schedule by getting ahead on the work that needs to be done and communicating with my professors on upcoming assignments. The best way is to prioritize what is most important and work from there.
What is your ritual before taking a test?
My ritual before taking a test is studying throughout that week on what I need to know and carrying my lucky pen with me for a little extra support.
Who do you consider to be an unsung hero in your academic success at Vanderbilt? And Why?
My unsung hero is my Student Services Coordinator. She has helped me learn how to prioritize the work that I have to do. Also she has shown me that gaining relationships and participating in classes goes a long way with professors and can help you to gain more knowledge on things within the course.
Favorite quote?
My favorite quote is one I saw my Freshman year at Vanderbilt. This quote is by Leonardo Da Vinci, “Learning is the only thing the mind never exhausts, never fears, and never regrets.”
