Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

I chose Vanderbilt because it has everything in a school that was important to me–academics, sports, campus.  Vandy is a place where I can learn at a top university, compete in competitive division 1 sports, and live in a place like Nashville.

What are your career goals?

After graduation, I hope to attend dental school and become a dentist.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

To be academically successful at Vanderbilt, time management is key. With much of my time spent practicing, traveling, and competing, it is critical to plan school work accordingly.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

To manage my schedule, I am always looking at my planner–it’s my lifeline. I make sure to have all of my assignment due dates and lacrosse requirements written down so that I can plan accordingly.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

Before taking a test, I always wear a Vanderbilt t-shirt as a reminder that I’m a student-athlete at Vanderbilt and life is good. I also bring 4 pencils and get to the testing site 30 minutes early.

What is your favorite quote?

“Success is where preparation and opportunity meet.” -Bobby Unser
