I chose Vanderbilt because it was an opportunity for me to be challenged every day and in every setting to be my best self. Being at Vanderbilt demands your full effort to be successful, and I knew this environment would help me towards accomplishing my goals.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
Being successful academically at Vanderbilt requires you to not be afraid of asking for help. We have a support community of counselors, professors, and tutors willing to sacrifice time to ensure our success.
How do you manage your demanding schedule?
As student-athletes we do have demanding schedules, but mentally you have to keep yourself internally driven that there’s an endpoint I’m working towards that makes these demands worth it.
What is your ritual before taking a test?
I try writing every concept out in order to visualize me writing that word or phrase when the actual test comes. My coach always says that “writing crystallizes thought” so that helps during test time.
