Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

I wanted to be challenged academically as well as participate in a strong and growing athletic program.  Vanderbilt offered the best of both worlds.  Its academic prestige enticed me, and once I came on my official visit, I fell in love with the team and knew this was where the Lord was calling me to be.

What are your career goals?

I want to become a physical therapist and specialize in pediatrics.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

Work hard, manage your time effectively, and don’t be afraid to ask for help.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

I plan ahead by writing down everything I need to do each day, checking off each task once it’s completed.  I also try and do my work as soon as possible so I can allow myself time to rest.  It’s all about creating a healthy balance.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

Study, pray that the Lord will give me a clear mind to recall the information, and go into it confidently knowing I did everything I could.

What is your favorite quote?

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” – Philippians 4:13
