Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

It is a great academic school and the SEC is the best women’s basketball conference in the country. Vanderbilt is also very close to home, so I felt like it was the total package.

What are your career goals?

I want to try and play basketball professionally, and then pursue the FBI agent route. This is still up in the air, but I am very interested in criminal justice.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

You have to manage and prioritize your time. Especially traveling and missing class, it is important to stay ahead of your work.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

I make due date schedules, look ahead at my assignments, and whenever I have time,  I try to get ahead on whatever I can. I start assignments early and work on them throughout the week(s) they are due.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

Many of my classes have study guides, so I fill them out about a week or so prior, and I continue to study them until the exam.

What is your favorite quote?

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” -Oscar Wilde
