Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

It has everything a student could want. Nashville is an amazing city, the campus is beautiful, the academics are some of the best in the country, and the athletic department is on the rise.

What are your career goals?

I plan on playing professional soccer for a few years post college, hopefully playing for the Colombian national team. After that point, I’m not entirely sure what I will do.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

It takes focus and discipline, being on top of your work and doing what you need to do even when you don’t feel like it.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

It’s not too difficult. It just takes setting aside time to do the work and being productive in that time.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

I don’t have one.

What is your favorite quote?

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” – Viktor Frankl
