Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?
I chose to attend Vanderbilt because I wanted a school with a soccer program in a competitive conference that would give me a chance for personal growth both on and off of the field. Something else that was important in my decision was that I attended a school with great academics to ensure I was ready for life and a career after soccer.
What are your career goals?
I hope to become a Physician’s Assistant.
What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
To be academically successful it takes commitment to your school work and the discipline to allow yourself enough time to perform to the best of your ability.
How do you manage your demanding schedule?
I have learned to use random free time during the day to get homework done or get ahead. I also make lists so that I can prioritize what needs to be done and check things off as I finish them.
What is your ritual before taking a test?
I don’t really have a ritual but I always make sure that I eat a good meal before a test.
What is your favorite quote?
“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome while trying to succeed.” Booker T. Washington
