Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?

The draw of being a part of the close knit group of girls that was the Vanderbilt XC team was too much to resist. It didn’t hurt that Vandy has some great academics and an awesome city.

What are your career goals?
I want to be able to do something that I love and help others at the same time. Exactly what that is I hope to figure out in the near future.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?

You have to have a lot of self motivation, and learning to work with your classmates instead of against them is key.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?

It is a balancing act for sure, but you learn to make the most of the little free time that you have to get the little things done. Also, I am the most productive in the morning, so getting an early start to my day is crucial.

What is your ritual before taking a test?

I like to wake up extra early the morning of tests to get some extra studying in and have plenty of time so that I don’t feel rushed.

What is your favorite quote?
The early bird gets the worm.
