Why did you choose to attend Vanderbilt?
I chose to attend Vanderbilt because it allowed me to pursue my two dreams – playing football in the SEC and pursuing a career as a physician.

What are your career goals?
My career goals are to attend medical school and become a physician.

What does it take to be academically successful at Vanderbilt?
To be academically successful at Vanderbilt, you must be both organized and diligent. Procrastination won’t get you closer to your academic goals.

How do you manage your demanding schedule?
I managed my demanding schedule by staying organized, knowing what had to be done and when it had to be done, and by refusing to allow myself to procrastinate.

What is your ritual before taking a test?
Before taking a test I typically review all of my notes from lecture and make a study guide from them. I’ve found it helps to write down information rather than just re-reading it. I then try to make sure I know everything on the study guide like the back of my hand.

What is your favorite quote?
“I want to be remembered like Pete Rose. ‘Charlie Hustle.’ I want people to say, ‘Wherever he was, he was always giving it his all.'” – Walter Payton
