Confirming and Retrieving Shared Notes

Confirming Notetaking

Before we can pair you with a volunteer peer notetaker, you'll need to check with the professor to see if peer notes makes sense with the class format and then perform one extra step in the Commodore Access Portal.

  1. Go to the link labeled Notetaking Services on the left side of the portal:
screenshot of the portal with an arrow pointing to Notetaking Services link and an arrow pointing to the Confirm Now link
  2. Click "Confirm Now" for each class where a notetaker is a reasonable accommodation. (Some students prefer to attend the class a couple of times before confirming that a notetaker is necessary in a particular course.)

Retrieving Shared Notes

Once you've confirmed your need of a volunteer peer notetaker, we will attempt to recruit someone to share notes with you. If you know someone in the class that could share notes, you can share our page on registering to be a peer notetaker with them.

After we've successfully recruited a volunteer peer notetaker, you should receive an email notifying you that someone has been assigned. You will also receive a notification each time new notes are uploaded to the portal. To access these shared notes:

  1. Log into the Commodore Access Portal and go to the link labeled Notetaking Services on the left side:

  2. Click the button labeled Available Notes for Download to view all available notes.
