Natasha McClure (she, her, hers), DNP, RN, CPNP, teaches in the Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. For the past 10 years, Dr. McClure has worked closely with children and families in high-need, low-resource school and community settings and recently concluded a funded asthma home visit program with an environmental intervention component for children in Davidson County. The needs for mental health services in these communities has shifted as a result of the Covid 19 pandemic, and she has transitioned her clinical and scholarly work to focusing on equitable access to high-quality, evidence-based treatments for children experiencing negative health and educational impacts of exposure to chronic and toxic stress and trauma.
