Associate Dean of The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons and Faculty Head
Frank Dobson is an Associate Dean of Students and one of the most influential administrators and mentors to be found in the Vanderbilt undergraduate community. His second novel, Rendered Invisible, a study in racially-motivated violence and racial reconciliation, was published in 2010. He has also published scholarly work; his most recent article, “Music of Martyrdom in Spike Lee’s Malcom X,” appeared in Popular Culture Review, Spring 2017. Dobson, who also teaches at Fisk University, is a playwright whose work has been presented nationally.
