Become A Student VUceptor

VUcept 2019

Online applications for VUcept 2020 will open on January 3, 2020.

Previous VUceptors must go through the same rigorous application process as new applicants and are not guaranteed an interview.

Applicants who are spending the semester away from Vanderbilt as enrolled students (study abroad, internships, etc.) are eligible to apply.  If chosen to be interviewed, Skype or phone interviews will be arranged.

Student VUceptors are not permitted to serve simultaneously in any of the following roles*: International Orientation Leader, Transfer Student Leader, Resident Adviser, Ingram Scholar, Writing Studio Consultant, or VSG Executive Board Member.  If you are considering multiple positions, you are encouraged to apply for as many as you would like, but note that you will ultimately have to make a choice. *The only exception to this policy is for those students who held both the VUceptor and resident adviser roles in fall 2019.

Applicants chosen for an interview will be notified by mid-February.

VUceptors for Fall 2020 will be notified during the week prior to Spring Break.

For further questions about the application process, please contact Selections Co-chairs Grant Bowlds and Karrie Raymond.

General questions about VUcept can be sent to VUcept President Riya Pate, Vice President Kameron Hagerla, Assistant Adviser Elaine Holmes, or Adviser Natalee Erb.
