RA & HR of the Month
As a way of recognizing the outstanding contributions of our student staff, the Office of Housing and Residential Education will recognize a select RA each month. RAs are nominated by their fellow students, peer RAs, ResEd staff members, and Residential Faculty for their contributions to their respective residential community with regard to RA responsibilities (programming, leadership, mentoring, student care, etc.) as well as contributions to the Vanderbilt and/or Nashville Community.
This Month’s Featured RA:
What does being an RA mean to you?
“Being an RA can mean many different things, as we wear many different hats throughout our job. In the course of a single day, an RA might be required to fill the roles of friend, cheerleader, event coordinator, leader or responsible adult. To me, being an RA means being flexible enough to fill the role that is most needed in any given situation, in order to help the people around you have the best experience they can at Vanderbilt.”

Quotes from Logan’s nomination:
“Absolutely wonderful in helping new RA’s with tough situations”
“His kind personality make him a great RA because he is a great listener with an even better way of giving advice that supports and reinforces the person’s ability to think for themselves”
