Maymester and Summer Session Housing Information

Housing Application:

All students planning to enroll in a Maymester or Summer Session course that require on-campus housing should complete the Summer School Housing Application located in the Student Housing Portal.  The application will be available beginning April 15, 2017.  Room assignments will be available only at the time of check-in.

Maymester and Summer Session Housing Locations: 

Rising 2nd Year Students or Greater – Towers 2 (traditional single and double rooms)

Incoming Fall 2017 First-Year Students – Towers 1 (traditional single and double rooms)

Housing Dates:

Maymester Housing:  Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2PM – Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 9AM

Summer Session 1 Housing:  Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 12PM – Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9AM

Summer Session 2 Housing:  Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 12PM – Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9AM

Housing Rates:

Maymester: $1,223 (includes $3 VSG fee)

Summer Session 1:  $1,528 (includes $3 VSG fee)

Summer Session 2:  $1,528 (includes $3 VSG fee)l

Maymester General Information:

Check-in will begin in the Towers East lobby on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2PM.  All Maymester students NOT enrolling in a Summer Session 1 course need to check out no later than Saturday, June 3rd at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Towers East front desk or contact your RA.

Maymester Study Abroad Information:

Students participating in trips that depart after May 6, 2017 at 9AM or that have an on-campus component should complete the Summer School Housing Application if they plan to remain on-campus after May 6, 2017 at 9AM.  Beginning May 6, 2017, students will be billed the daily rate for housing ($43.57) for each night they reside on-campus.

Students enrolled in programs with trips that are scheduled to depart on or before May 13, 2017 will be permitted to remain in their current spring 2017 housing assignments until their departure except for residents of Hank Ingram House and Murray House.  Current residents of Hank Ingram House and Murray House will be required to move to Maymester housing in Towers 2 on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Students enrolled in programs with trips that are scheduled to depart on May 14, 2017 or later will be required to move to Maymester housing in Towers 2 on Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Summer Session General Information:

Check-in for Summer Session 1 will begin on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 12PM in the Towers East lobby.  All Summer Session 1 students NOT enrolling in a Summer Session 2 course need to check out no later than Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Towers East front desk or contact your RA.

Check-in for Summer Session 2 will begin on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at 9AM in the Towers East lobby.  All Summer Session 2 students must check out of Towers 2 no later than Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 9AM.  In order to check-out, please report to the Towers East front desk or contact your RA.

Students residing in Towers 1 or 2 during Summer Session 2 that are residing on-campus for the fall semester 2017 will be permitted to move directly into their fall housing assignments upon completion of Summer Session 2.  Information about moving directly to fall housing assignments will be sent via email to Summer Session 2 students in late July. 

Note:  Students enrolled in Maymester and Summer Session courses are welcome to reside off-campus.  Students residing off-campus for the summer of 2017 who are scheduled to reside on-campus for the fall 2017 semester will not be permitted to move into their fall on-campus room assignment until Sunday, August 20, 2017 at 8AM.  Students with summer sublets should plan accordingly.
