“Is Peace Possible?” David Makovsky & Ghaith Al-Omari Discuss

Vanderbilt Hillel will host a discussion on the States of Israel and Palestine and whether peace can exist in the current climate. Moderated by Prof. Frank Wcislo, Dean of the Commons, the panelists will include David Makovsky, Director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy Project on the Middle East Peace Process, and Ghaith Al-Omari, the Executive Director at the American Task Force on Palestine (ATFP). Both have extensive history dealing with the Middle East Peace process and will speak to the issues of both sides.

The event is cosponsored by The Martha Rivers Ingram Commons, College Democrats, College Republicans, The Program in Jewish Studies, The Office of Religious Life, and Current Events and Critical Conversations. This event is made possible by a generous grant from the Lebovitz Family Foundation.

Tickets are free and will be available at the Sarratt Box Office or at the door of the event. “Is Peace Possible?” will be held on Sunday, February 17th in Wilson Hall 103 at 3pm.
