The Civil Rights Movement in Nashville and Beyond: Listening to the Past, Imagining the Future

In a cross campus collaboration, the Spring semester of 2016 will feature a bevy of events focusing on the Civil Rights Movement in Nashville. Beginning in January with the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration activities, the series will explore the history of the movement in Nashville and its key players. A combination of lectures, panel discussions, and films will expose students the the history that took place in Vanderbilt’s backyard and the nation.
